SKYWATCH ALERT for TONIGHT

Jupiter will be 6° north of the Moon tonight. That's about the width of three fingers with your hand at arm's length. Although there's nothing scientifically significant in these alignments, I love them. They're fun, often beautiful, and keep me thinking about the sky in three dimensions.

BTW: The bright star to the east of the Moon is Regulus, part of the constellation Leo.

Have fun skywatching. I'll leave you with an image of the Whirlpool Galaxy.
